What’s Happening?

Roots of Play and Wildsole are joining forces for a movement workshop like no other. From the moment you arrive, you’ll step into your own pair of Wildsole sandals and begin exploring the power of barefoot movement in any terrain.

We’ll take to the trails with a walk or run around a beautiful reservoir, testing the freedom of natural movement before venturing into the woods. There, the forest becomes our playground — climbing trees, dancing, and playfighting beneath the canopy.

Together we’ll dive into the deeper ecosomatic layers of movement, learning how to move with the landscape rather than against it. Through dynamic partner practices inspired by martial arts and dance, you’ll discover new possibilities in the spaces around you and unlock the hidden playground that exists everywhere.

We’ll close by coming together as a tribe of movers, solving challenges through creativity, collaboration, and play — discovering what becomes possible when movement, nature, and community collide. 🌿🔥

What’s Included In the ticket

A Pair of Wildsole Sandals

You will receive a new pair of Wildsole Hare or Mantor Sandals on the first day of the event

After booking you will receive a Google form where you can choose your size and style of sandal.

Two days of Movement and fun

We have put together a fun-filled programme that includes: sandal-making, adventurous hike, tree-climbing, combat improv, playfight games, exploring and more!

Camping and accomodation

Cosy Tipi camping included.

You will just need to bring your own sleeping mat, sleeping bag and food for the weekend

There is an incredible amount of nourishment to be found in learning from and moving with another person. We are collaborative beings and learning to embody this fact is proven to be incredibly meaningful for human development. — through dance practices, martial arts principles, movement explorations, and collaborative partner work that invites us to solve problems and overcome challenges together.

Moving with Environment

In the spirit of remembering our inherent connection with the planet, learning to move well through the world offers a profound way into meaning. - Through parkour, tree climbing, natural movement patterns, acrobatics, and creative, nature-inspired improvisation, we can begin to see the world through a lens of possibility — revealing the playground that exists all around us.

Moving with oneSelf

It is through our body that we come to know the world. Our first point of reference for relating to life is our own physical experience. Learning to maintain the integrity of our being is essential for cultivating meaningful relationships with ourselves, others, and the world. Through meditation, somatic practices, yoga, and functional movement, we can develop the embodied resilience needed to navigate a complex and changing world.

Who is this for

Open level. This event is open to anyone with basic movement ability. While also welcoming artist with extensive knowledge is any movement field.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you are wanting to bring your own tent you will need to reserve a spot in the campsite yourself. Please get in touch after ticket purchase so we can direct you to the campsite booking page.

  • We will send out a full kit-list before the event but you will need your own food for the event, camping mat and sleeping bag and clothes for the weekend.

  • You will receive your pair of Wildsole sandals on the first day of the event.

    Prior to the event starting will will send out a google form for you to choose your size and style of shoe for the event.

  • You will be in a shared bell tent with other workshop participants.

    If you would prefer to bring your own tent, please get in touch after ticket purchase about booking a spot in the campsite and we can assist you in the process.

  • We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
